Gregory got them through sweeps, now they want Chuck Todd in there before sweeps to build a little momentum. My beef with David Gregory has always been about passion. He's never seemed to particularly enjoy what he was doing on Meet The Press, or in anything. I never saw him as a political or media junkie, two fuels IMO you need to be a successful Sunday show moderator. There was no fire in the belly. Get Chuck Todd talking about anything politics and he'll show you some guts. He eats, sleeps, drinks and breathes politics, government, traditional and non-traditional media. He does a pretty good weekend radio show on Sirius XM POTUS too, and I like his Daily Rundown show, which no one thought he could do without Savannah Guthrie when it was announced she was leaving MSNBC for the full time slot on TODAY. He proved 'em wrong and at the same time as fulfilling his roles for NBC News. I don't know when the guy has any family time--or maybe he doesn't--but I like this choice and I think Chris Wallace is in for a run for the money.
