I was about to make another point but I didn't know how to say it in a longterm essay until now. Urban talk's demographics for the most part have low income so they are not as powerful in the spending range as other audiences. Most Urban businesses are not independently stable or strong enough to advocate for causes/problems that are polarizing the Black community. I saw a commentator on The Milwaukee Drum who had appearances saying that couldn't talk the hazards of driking/smoking because one of the advertisers
was Miller Brewing. Most even refused to advertise at all. Most Urban AMs other reasons of failing because were mismanaged, have mediocre or horrible signals and tough FM competition swallowing up the few ad dollars. So with all these burdens and current state and mentality of the industry, no wonder all these owners are dumping the format for a cheaper alternative for their low-fi coffee pot until they find a seller. (religious, ethic broadcasters. etc.)
