Kudos to this post Jacques II!

From those of you hating on this station, stay with your stale 103-7 Kiss FM and typical unexciting VT'd Radio Now.

If you look at 103.7 Kiss FM's playlist they are still passing songs over a year old as current music!! STALE.

And Radio Now? Playlist is better but as usual, they go on the cheap not hiring an all live and local DJ talent.

Energy is exciting musically. The music was exactly fitted for a true balanced Rhythmic format. I am from Milwaukee but now live in Chicago.

Being the new CHR station on the block they could have easily tried to mimic the other two stations. This station made me listen to it over other Chicago stations. A major heritage station like B 96, did not break new music as fast as Energy has.

There are two issues I have with the station:

1) More DJ's. I feel like it has taken a long time to get two DJs and now they are back to one. It could be a money thing but live, local personalities that live the music will always appeal to listeners. When you go jockless for as many times as Energy currently does, it makes it feel as if it is a online or internet station. That is not bad short term but could be bad long term.

2) Mix shows: A Rhythmic station usually has a weekend mix show. Adding DJ Ekin was a great idea. His mixes are very good. Still no Friday or Saturday night mix shows. Radio Now does not have one and Kiss has some lame top 40 remix stuff that does not sound much different than their 12 and 5 pm weekday mixes. It is something sorely missing in Milwaukee since the Hot 102 days.

I am sure Milwaukee has some club DJs. You get a team of mixers to produce a show on the weekends not like what Milwaukee currently hears and I guarantee it would create buzz. Even if you don't want to do that, at least broadcast live from a club on the weekends with a resident DJ. That is better than nothing.

I was surprised to see Brandon leave the station. I wonder if it had to do with the company restricting him on putting together a full fledge station that has both of these.

Energy 106.9 is great station that could be much more. I hope Saga gives it the chance it deserves and to the people who think it was not good to begin with must not have heard other CHRs across the country.

You all in Milwaukee don't know how good you have it with this station.
