I agree with Paul that it was all pretty much the same. Everyone was working with the same live feeds from Boston and the same audio feeds from the networks, which in many cases were piggybacking off the live TV feeds coming from Boston. The amount of piggybacking was apparent at the first Boston press conference held by the Police Commissioner and the feed kept renegotiating and pixelating.

Since I just got done posting something about Mark Belling I will say that around 4pm I tuned into 620 WTMJ and 1130 WISN in my car because I had to file my taxes and I was surprised to hear WTMJ locally talking about it and Belling just was feeding the Fox News Channel broadcast. It has been my experience when I have the sad opportunity to tune into Mark's show, that he doesn't like to carry network feeds in place of his own banter because it takes the focus off of him. What's more, he will often say that he is not going to talk about what happened because he has nothing interesting to say about it other than it happened, and then he will go into his show as if there wasn't a terrorist attack or mass killing that just happened.

I don't know what any of that adds to the conversation, but it was my observation. When I got back home I put on MSNBC and was pleased to see Rachel Maddow doing her show from outside Boston Mass hospital. I flipped over at one point in the night to see Bill O'Reilly talking about how the President hadn't called this terrorism and hadn't acknowledged the Saudi National connection to this egregious act of violence. So in other words, he didn't get on TV within hours of the attack and blame the Arabs. I think in everywhere except Fox News Channel, Americans have come a long way from dragging Arab-looking shop owners out of their stores and beating them senselessly just because they look different than us.
