I'm still adjusting to Dan O'Donnell attempting to give WISN-AM a real news department. I'm confused every time I hear the news anchor toss to a story filed by Dan O'Donnell. They didn't do things like that before he came there. Now the next challenge will be having more than Dan O'Donnell file stories. I'm finding it hard to believe WISN really wants to have more of a news presence. They do call themselves News/Talk 1130 WISN but the emphasis has always been on the talk. In fact I would argue that's been the key to their steady growth over the past few years. They were already trending upward, the question is why Jerry Bott (or do you think it was Jeff Tyler?) decided to go this direction and my second question is, how far in the news direction is WISN willing to go?
