:Citing sources, WMTV-TV/NBC 15 and several bloggers reporting that the new format for WTDY will be sports talk. The bloggers say the station will feature Jim Rome and the new CBS Sports Network. It is unclear if the format will air on the AM, FM, or both.

That was my guess when I first heard tonight that talk was going away. During Sly's show the past couple of months, WTDY was inserting one-minute sports commentaries by Boomer Esiason from CBS Sports Radio. It gave me the impression that WTDY would include at least some CBS Sports Radio programming once the network starts up in January. I wouldn't expect any local sports talk on WTDY, at least in the early going; CBS Sports Radio will have round-the-clock programming.

Which, of course, begs the question of what WTSO will do to fill the void of losing Jim Rome to CBS Sports Radio (and WTDY)? Something from Fox Sports, presumably?
