ENTERCOM Classic Hits WOLX/MADISON is hosting a choir competition to celebrate the holiday season.

Qualifying choirs will compete for cash prizes at the STOUGHTON OPERA HOUSE on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4th at 7p. The competition is open to the public. WOLX is accepting submissions that include a sample from each choir now through NOVEMBER 9th. Finalists will be announced on NOVEMBER 14th. A maximum of eight Choirs will sing up to three holiday seasonal songs in a 12-minute on-stage performance.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three groups as judged by a panel of local celebrities and choral experts based on a published scoring rubric that includes expression, dynamics and stage presence. First place will receive $500, second will receive $300, and third place will receive $200.
