that's because wachs grew up in the market and idolized condella. he left his last job in kansas city in order to come home and work at the station he once interned for and was a weather watcher for in high school. having the extra meteorologist on staff helps pad the lineup for vacation time and personal days, along with the added duties of web forecasts, the fox 6 weather app and social media.
